The Coral Springs Police Department reported numerous crimes across the city between February 2 and 8, 2026. Please note that the police have redacted the names and addresses of most victims in most incidents.
Incidents
Baker Acts / Risk of Harm
Multiple Baker Act cases and risk-of-harm incidents were reported throughout the city during the week, including calls on NW 83rd Lane, NW 42nd Court, University Drive locations, Wiles Road, Royal Palm Boulevard, and several residential neighborhoods. No criminal charges were associated with these cases.
Thefts & Burglaries
• Grand Theft — Reported Feb. 2; victim reported an estimated loss of $30,000 over an extended period.
• Grand Theft — Reported Feb. 2; estimated loss $15,000.
• Burglary – Residence (Forced Entry) — Reported Feb. 2; entry occurred sometime between Jan. 23 and Feb. 2.
• Burglary – Residence (Non-Forced Entry) — Reported Feb. 6; estimated loss $1,500.
• Burglary/Auto Theft Attempt — Attempted theft from a vehicle reported Feb. 4.
• Auto Parts Theft — Reported Feb. 7; minor loss reported.
• Multiple petit theft cases occurred at residences and businesses throughout the city.
Retail Theft / Shoplifting
Retail theft incidents occurred at multiple Coral Springs businesses, including:
• Macy’s, W Atlantic Blvd — Loss approx. $613
• Stores along Sample Road corridor
• Publix Supermarket — Loss approx. $20
• Walgreens — Loss approx. $129
• Home Depot — Loss approx. $149
• CVS Pharmacy — Loss approx. $226
• Target — Loss approx. $85
• Additional shoplifting incidents were reported at several retail locations citywide.
Fraud & Identity Theft
Several fraud and identity theft cases were reported:
• Fraud — Loss approx. $4,500
• Fraud (All Other) — Loss approx. $10,045
• Wire fraud — Loss approx. $600
• Identity theft and additional fraud cases resulted in smaller reported losses throughout the week.
Assaults & Batteries
• Aggravated Assault incidents reported Feb. 2, Feb. 6, and Feb. 8.
• Aggravated Battery incident reported Feb. 3.
• Several battery and domestic battery incidents occurred across Coral Springs during the reporting period.
• Battery on a Public Transit Employee was reported Feb. 7.
Robbery
• Strong-arm robbery incidents reported Feb. 2 and Feb. 7, including one case involving approximately $4,000 in losses.
Domestic Incidents
Multiple domestic disturbances and domestic battery incidents were reported at residences across the city.
Property Damage / Disturbances
Reports included property damage, fights, disturbances, suspicious incidents, and calls for assistance to other agencies.
Traffic & DUI Incidents
Several traffic violations and DUI incidents occurred throughout Coral Springs and neighboring Coconut Creek.
Other Incidents
• Fire incident reported Feb. 2 on NW 42nd Drive.
• Multiple found-property and lost-property reports were filed.
• Threat assessments, narcotics violations, suspicious incidents, and recovered stolen vehicle reports also occurred.
