After their first loss of the season, Coral Springs High School girls basketball responded by defeating South Plantation 66-9 at their next game.
The Colts did not allow more than three points in any of the four quarters on Dec. 10. The Colts also scored 27 points in the second quarter, which is the most they have recorded in any period this season.
Then, behind a 34 point performance from Rhael Sayers, CSHS defeated McArthur High School on Tuesday. The nine points allowed are the fewest the team had given up since 2017 when the Colts held Coral Glades to seven points. CSHS also defeated Palm Glades Prep 60-6 earlier that year.
They move to 4-1 this year and will be off until January 4 when they take on Cardinal Gibbons High School. The two last met in 2019, with the Colts winning 48-41.
