It took until the 11th game of the season, but the Coral Springs Charter boys soccer team finally won their first game.
This was also the first win for Head Coach Lucas Fredez, who took over for David Horacek to start the 2021-22 season.
After scoring only four goals all season, the Panthers recorded seven in their win over Somerset Preparatory Academy Charter School at North Lauderdale on Tuesday to move their record 1-8-2 this year.
The Panthers previously settled for draws against Northeast and Coral Springs High School. CSC fell to Pine Crest, Fort Lauderdale, Deerfield Beach, Western, Monarch, ArchBishop McCarthy, Coral Glades, and Calvary Christian Academy.
Next, CSC will have one more game before the holiday break when they take on West Boca Raton Community High School on Thursday, December 16, at 7 p.m. The Bulls are 6-1-1 this season and have outscored their opponents 28-0 in their last four wins.
