Another plant sale, this time with holiday-themed items, is coming to the rotary community garden and food forest of Coral Springs on Saturday.
Satya Rudin, both member and volunteer since the community garden’s inception, said that among herbs, fruits and vegetables, and crafts for sale, there would be quite a few hand-painted pots to choose from.
“The pots are decorated for Christmas and have plants in them. It’s also a chance to learn more about our community garden. Membership is full right now, but we can always use more volunteers,” she said.
Rudin pointed out that the first Saturday of every month is a volunteer day, where people of all ages can feel for community gardening.
“Students can also earn service hours helping us on volunteer days,” Rudin added.
The winter plant sale is on Saturday, December 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Located at 2915 Sportsplex Drive, the community garden and adjacent food forest can be found near the Steven G. Paul Dog Park entrance.
