Coral Springs High School basketball picked up their first regular-season win of the year after defeating Monarch High School 69-50 Wednesday night.
The Colts played in a pair of exhibition games and won both before they fell by one point to Palmetto High School in their first matchup.
“I think these games were extremely important,” said Head Coach Devin Barta. “They allowed us to build chemistry and get ready for our season.”
Gregory Spate led the team in scoring with 20 points recording 21 in the first game. Jordan Carmona added 16 while Romae Brown had ten and Johnathan Fils had eight.
CSHS is coming off a season where they went 8-6 and had an exciting win in the postseason against Monarch High School before losing to Dwyer High School in the second round.
Next, the Colts will have a chance to play Dwyer again on Saturday, December 4 at 1 p.m. in a regular-season matchup.
