Coral Glades girls basketball continues their terrific start to the season after their 45-32 on Wednesday over Fort Lauderdale High School.
Camryn Smith led the team with 20 points. She also added six steals and scored at least ten points in three of the team’s four games.
Viviana Paucarima and Mediline Melius each added eight points, while Maria Lecumberri Urrutia had seven.
The Jaguars improved to 3-1 for the first time since 2008 when Coral Glades started 4-1 and won 14 games.
“We are young and have a long way to go, but the girls are having fun, and it feels good to get a couple wins under our belts early, said Head Coach Donnel Carr.
Their first win came against Pompano Beach by 134 points before the Jaguars allowed only 12 points in their third game over Hollywood Hills High School. They fell to South Broward High School in their first game.
Next, the Jaguars will play at home against Monarch High School on Tuesday, December 7, at 6 p.m. The Knights are winless in their four games this year.
