It was a tough couple of matches for the Coral Springs High School volleyball team, but they were able to regroup and defeat Everglades High School 3-0 Monday night.
The Colts’ win was their fourth of the season as they had previously dropped two matches in a row, falling to J.P. Taravella and Marjory Stoneman Douglas.
Bryan Vergara had a big match offensively as he led the team with seven kills. He added three aces and had a block in the victory.
Sean Ortiz finished second on the team with three kills, while Ronex Faustin, Henry Southard, and Sebastian Evans recorded three blocks. Faustin also added nine assists and had eight digs, while Alvin Vo had six dogs in his lone set.
For Head Coach Frank Bumbales, he was down two starters and really liked the way Daniel Benigno did a great job filling in at libero. He had four serve receptions, four digs, and one ace.
