
Commander Tom Melville {City of Coral Springs}

The City of Coral Springs is holding a special Memorial Day Ceremony to honor all Americans who made the supreme sacrifice with their unselfish devotion in order to defend our heritage of liberty and justice for all.
Join city officials, and the Veterans Coalition of Coral Springs on Monday, May 31, at 9 a.m. as they honor the brave men and women who have given their lives in service to the nation.
This year’s featured speaker is Commander Tom Melville, retired USN. After graduation from college in 1966, he completed college and was accepted into Naval Aviation Officer Candidate School. He was later commissioned to an Ensign in the U.S. Naval Reserve. During his 27-year military career.
Commander Melville served in active duty in the Naval Reserve Intelligence units in New York, Washington, D.C., and Florida and was awarded a Letter of Commendation from the Naval Reserve Intelligence Command and nine Campaign Medals and Ribbons. He and his wife, Joanne, live in the City of Coral Springs. They have three adult children and six grandchildren.
Memorial Day services will be held at Veterans Park, located at 8601 Royal Palm Boulevard (just east of University Drive).
