A Message from Coral Springs Police Chief Bradley McKeone
Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday season surrounded by loved ones. As we welcome the new year, I want to express my gratitude for your continued support in keeping Coral Springs an amazing place to live.
In response to recent events, including the incident in North Community Park involving students, we are reinforcing our commitment to safety. You’ll notice an increase in police presence throughout the city, especially during school dismissal. This proactive measure is aimed at deterring criminal activity and maintaining a secure environment for all residents. The incident at North Community Park highlights the importance of community involvement in preventing crimes.
If you witness or hear potential threats of violence or concerning information, please don’t hesitate to say something. Your cooperation is instrumental in addressing potential issues within our community and benefits our efforts to safeguard Coral Springs.
I am excited to highlight our SafeKeepers program, which plays a pivotal role in shaping our youth. Through the program, parents, guardians, and other volunteers serve as an additional set of “eyes and ears” during school dismissal time. If you have a desire to positively contribute to the lives of our youth and guide them towards a brighter path, consider joining our SafeKeepers program. To learn more about this initiative and how you can get involved, visit our website.
Also, mark your calendars for our upcoming Shred-A-Thon event on Saturday, February 3, at the Sportsplex (2575 Sportsplex Dr.) from 9 to 11 a.m. Safely dispose of sensitive documents and protect yourself from identity theft.
I am proud to serve this community. As always, If there is anything that I can do for you or your family, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at policechief@coralsprings.gov or on Facebook @ChiefMcKeone.
Sincerely,
Bradley McKeone
Chief of Police
