Through our joint effort with the Coral Springs Police Department to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes which occurred in Coral Springs from January 4 through January 14.
Grand theft
Walmart at 6001 Coral Ridge Drive on January 4 at 6:26 p.m.
Walmart at 6001 Coral Ridge Drive on January 5 between 2:50 p.m. and 4:01 p.m.
Grand theft – automobile
2700 block of Riverside Drive on January 8 between 3:08 p.m. and 3:12 p.m.
Theft of bicycle
A juvenile was the victim of bicycle theft at the 3900 block of Woodside Drive on January 6 between 4:30 p.m. and 6:28 p.m.
Criminal mischief
4000 block of Chardonnay Drive on approximately January 3 at 8:00 p.m. with damage greater than $200 but less than $1,000
11900 block of NW 57th Manor between January 4 at 4:00 p.m. and January 5 at 11:00 p.m. with vehicle damage greater than $1,000
2700 block of Riverside Drive on January 13 between 7:00 a.m. and 7:11 a.m. with damage greater than $1,000
4000 block of Woodside Drive on January 13 at 8:25 p.m. with vehicle damage greater than $200 but less than $1,000
Burglary conveyance/theft from auto
10900 block of NW 3rd Court between January 6 at 11:59 a.m. and January 7 at 2:40 p.m.
10600 block of Wiles Road on January 8 between 12:21 p.m. and 1:21 p.m.
5600 block of NW 89th Ave between January 10 at 10:00 p.m. and January 11 at 6:30 a.m.
Shoplifting/retail theft/felony retail theft/petit theft
Walmart at 3801 Turtle Creek Drive on January 5 at 10:36 a.m.
Target at 4400 North State Road 7 on January 7 between 10:39 a.m. and 11:17 a.m.
Target at 4400 North State Road 7 on January 8 at 3:41 p.m.
Macy’s at the Coral Square Mall on January 12 at 3:51 p.m.
Battery
Battery on a law enforcement officer occurred at the 8100 block of Wiles Road on January 11 at 10:52 a.m.
Arrests
Lorenzo Jovan Murdock, 28, charged with retail theft/felony retail theft at Target on January 5.
Christopher Keyon Sanders, 32, charged with battery/touch or strike/domestic violence on January 5.
Ruben Jesus Torres, 45, charged with obstructing an officer without violence on January 6.
Kevin Louis Sisson, 25, charged with domestic battery by strangulation on January 6.
Thomas Robert Mcnicholas, 31, charged with petit theft, with a prior conviction, on January 7.
Ricky Dee Brewster, 56, charged with grand theft greater than $5,000, but less than $10,000 on January 7.
Robert Hugh St Patrick Brown, 23, charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle under $100,000 on January 8.
Tyreque Deshaun Lewis, 18, charged with shoplifting/retail theft at Target on January 8.
Alyssa Ashley Thomas, 30, charged with battery, intentionally causing bodily harm on January 8.
Joshua Michael Hull, 29, charged with grand theft over $300 but less than $5,000 on January 10.
Roberta Lynn Huha, 50, charged with heroin possession on January 10.
Lebrin Ernest Israel, 36, charged with cocaine possession on January 11.
Lamar Brown, 30, was charged with shoplifting/retail theft on January 10.
Jerald Michael Perry, 29, charged with battery on a law enforcement officer with physical contact/touch on January 11.
Damon Dion Thomas Strong, 39, charged with battery, intentionally striking or touching another person on January 12.
Anthony Robert Cherry, 28, charged with petit theft on January 12.
Amar J. Mcgriff, 22, charged with criminal mischief with damage greater than $200, but less than $1,000 on January 13.
Nicole Renee Botzek, 47, charged with battery, touching or striking another person/battery/domestic violence on January 13.
Travis Ajodhia Hanna, 26, charged with obstructing an officer without violence on January 14.
