Coral Springs will transform into a Bavarian-style village on Saturday, Oct. 4, when the city hosts its annual Oktoberfest from 4 to 10 p.m. on the lawn of City Hall, 9500 W. Sample Road.
The free event invites residents of all ages for food, music, contests, and traditional German beer and wine.
The celebration will feature authentic German fare and Bavarian treats, accompanied by a beer garden offering a selection of Bavarian brews and German wines for those 21 and older.
Entertainment features live polka music by The Brussel Sprouts German Polka Band, appearances by King Ludwig, and a keg-tapping ceremony at 6 p.m.
For children and families, there will be a Kinder Carnival area, photo booths, local vendors, and limited-edition event merchandise. Adults can compete in timed contests, including a Stein Musical Chairs (21+), Stein Holding (21+), Yodeling, and the ever-popular Wiener Dog Dash at 5 p.m.
Free parking will be available in the City Hall parking garage. For those arriving via ride share, a new drop-off lane will be located on Sample Road near 94th Avenue, behind the main stage.
Organizers remind attendees to drink responsibly.
