The Coral Springs High School cheerleading team is having a terrific season, highlighted by the Colts qualifying for Nationals.
CSHS came in second place at the UCA Regional Championship. The Colts also competed in the America’s Cup earlier this year and a tournament at Coral Glades.
Head Coach Amanda Mortimer says her team has grown in every way imaginable, and it’s apparent in their performances.
“It’s beyond exciting to see all the hard work, passion, and vision come to life,” Mortimer said. “Watching them hit new skills and achieve things they’ve worked so hard for is nothing short of thrilling. It’s such a rewarding feeling to see them shine on the floor, and I couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of them.”
Last year, the Colts came in third at Districts and fourth at Regionals. They also came in 11th at the State Championship in the small non-tumbling division and will look to improve on that this year in the postseason.
They are scheduled to host the next competition on January 9 at Coral Springs High School. Nationals will take place in Orlando from February 7-10.
