Coral Springs High School produced standout results at the Regional Championship, highlighted by a pair of first-place finishes.
Olivia Higgins won the 800 meters and also helped secure a regional title as part of the 4×800 relay team alongside Lydia Gentilhomme, Destinee Cole, and Samanta Bandres Chourio. Samanta Bandres Chourio also won the 400 hurdles. On the boys’ side, Dawlthon Charite captured a regional championship in the shot put.
Coral Glades also turned in a strong performance, with two relay teams finishing in the top eight. Avery Evans competed in the 400 meters, while Angel Sanon placed seventh in the 100-meter hurdles. The 4×800 relay team of Kimberly Joseph, Khaida Walker, Trinity Jean, and Juliana Mathieu qualified for the state championships.
Coral Springs Charter was led by William Urena, who finished as the runner-up in the triple jump. Justin Laroche added a third-place finish in the 400 meters, while Gianna Barnes paced the girls’ team with a second-place finish in the same event.
