Family Bagels of Long Island will permanently close its Coral Springs location.
The restaurant, formerly known as Westside Bagels, initially closed in 2019 following the unexpected death of owner Geoffrey Lichtman. It later reopened as Family Bagels of Long Island under new ownership by Long Island native Neal Schatt and South Florida business partner Steve Corn.
Family Bagels of Long Island has been known locally for its New York–style bagels and breakfast offerings.
Attempts to reach a manager were unsuccessful, but an employee confirmed that the Coral Springs location will shut its doors for good on Wednesday afternoon. The employee added that the company’s New York location will remain open.
