The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill Coming to The Walk of Coral Springs

The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill has expanded its South Florida footprint with the opening of a new fast-casual restaurant at The Walk in Coral Springs, bringing fresh Mediterranean cuisine and authentic Greek recipes to the city’s popular shopping and dining destination.

The restaurant, located at 2764 N. University Drive, is locally owned and operated by entrepreneur Ashiqur Rahman Shubir. The 1,600-square-foot location features seating for 16 guests indoors and an additional 20 on its outdoor patio.

The new restaurant offers a menu centered on customizable Mediterranean favorites, including Classic Greek Salad, build-your-own rice bowls and gyros with protein options ranging from traditional gyro meat to salmon. Signature offerings include made-to-order Feta Fries, while desserts feature Baklava Ice Cream and traditional rice pudding.

“I’m excited to introduce Coral Springs to The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill and give the community a taste of what makes this brand so special,” Shubir said. “Every dish is prepared fresh in-house daily, staying true to our promise to ‘Live Great. Eat Greek.'”

In addition to dine-in service, the restaurant offers catering for corporate meetings, special events and family gatherings. Catering options include build-your-own gyro stations, souvlaki skewers, Greek salads, rice pilaf, traditional dips and desserts.

Shubir opened the restaurant with business partner Mohammed S. Islam, a U.S. Army veteran. The partners said they hope to create a welcoming gathering place for the Coral Springs community while serving fresh Mediterranean cuisine.

The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill is an award-winning franchise specializing in Greek and Mediterranean-inspired fast-casual dining. The brand prepares its menu fresh in-house using recipes passed down through generations and was co-founded by third-generation restaurateurs Nick A. Della Penna and Trent Jones.
