Remy Joseph {BSO}
A fundraiser has been launched to support the family of Coral Glades High School sophomore Remy Joseph, who died unexpectedly earlier this month, as friends, classmates, and community members continue to mourn his loss.
The memorial fund, created to help cover funeral expenses and his family’s immediate needs, had raised $1,510 from 28 donors as of the latest update, with a goal of $12,000.
“In loving memory of Coral Glades sophomore Remy Joseph,” the GoFundMe fundraiser page reads. “He joined the Coral Glades family this school year, but made many friends and got along with everyone. He was a respectful young man and nothing but a gentleman. He made an impact on all those he met.”
According to the fundraiser, Joseph died unexpectedly on March 7. His family has confirmed that homegoing services are scheduled for March 20.
Authorities have not disclosed how Joseph died.
The fundraiser was organized to help ease the financial burden on Joseph’s family as they mourn his loss. Contributions will go toward funeral costs and other immediate needs.
“If you are able, please consider donating to offset the cost and assist the family as they navigate through this difficult time,” the page states. “Any and all amounts would be greatly appreciated by the family.”
Supporters are also encouraging others to share the fundraiser on social media to expand its reach and help the family receive additional assistance.
