A fundraiser has been launched for the family of Daniel Beas Gamez, a 34-year-old husband and father of two who died in a motorcycle crash in Coral Springs on June 18.
The fundraiser says Beas Gamez leaves behind his wife, two daughters, and extended family members who must cover funeral expenses and manage the financial burden of life without him.
“Daniel was so much more than a husband and father,” the fundraiser states. “He was a devoted son, a loving brother, a caring cousin, a respected boss, a loyal friend, and someone who made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.”
The page describes Beas Gamez as a man known for his compassion, honesty, and devotion to his family. His wife and daughters, organizers wrote, were “the center of his world,” and much of what he did was aimed at giving them a secure and loving life.
"He had an incredible sense of humor that could brighten even the darkest days, and he lived with honesty, integrity, and compassion," the page states. "Daniel believed in doing the right thing, always putting others before himself and leading by example."
Beas Gamez was driving his motorcycle north on Coral Ridge Drive near Wiles Road on June 18 when it collided with an SUV around 1:45 p.m., authorities said. He died at the scene.
As of Monday afternoon, the fundraiser for Beas Gomez had raised $1,860 toward a $10,000 goal.
The GoFundMe page can be found here.
Money raised will help cover funeral costs and support Beas Gamez’s wife and daughters, according to the fundraiser.
“Along with the overwhelming grief of losing a husband and father, they are now burdened with unexpected funeral expenses and the financial challenges of moving forward without Daniel’s love, guidance, and support,” the page states.
