Harmony Indian Cuisine, barely two weeks old, sits tucked away in the corner of the Maplewood plaza of Coral Springs by the Coral Square Mall. In my opinion, it’s now the finest sit-down Indian restaurant for miles.
I used the qualifier “sit-down” restaurant because I’m sure people have strong opinions about Arun’s Indian Kitchen, which is also fantastic, but it isn’t the full dine-in experience with waitstaff. Harmony has quite a delayed journey to be here. It’s a family-owned restaurant, bought back in December 2024. They ran into numerous permitting issues due to the type of tandoor oven required to cook Indian naan bread and the fires it generates.
But it was definitely worth the wait. Inside, the remodeling is refreshingly contemporary. Hanging plants. Soft warm lights. New upholstery. Wood lattices and blues and greens.
The menu is enormous. Began options, halal options, Kerali, and on and on. It’s primarily North Indian cuisine, but also includes South Indian staples like curries and lentil soup, and some Indo-Chinese dishes. Every cuisine has a litmus test for me to compare. For French cuisine, I always try the steak tartare or escargot. For Mexican, it might be a tableside guacamole. For Indian cuisine, it’s always samosas and naans.
We ordered veggie samosas ($6.99 for three), and they were perfect. Crispy on the outside, stuffed to the gills with a softer blend of diced potatoes, green peas, onions, and carrots. The tamarind chutney was appropriately sweet and tangy, and the green chutney was a pleasing mix of slightly spicy coriander and mint.

Veggie Samosas.
The garlic naan ($4.99) was so light and crunchy, with a great char and olive oil dripping off it. The cheese naan ($5.99) was out of this world. Sometimes they come too thick and too doughy, and sit in the stomach in a carb overload. This had a perfect ratio and will be a go-to item every time we come back.

Garlic naan.
We ordered the Chicken 65 ($14.99) and Gobi 65 ($11.99), bite-sized chicken and cauliflower marinated in yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, and spices, then fried until golden and tossed in a seasoning of curry leaves, chilies, and garlic. We loved both. The process of baking and frying it the way they do leaves the outside perfectly crunchy and locks in the tender inside. The Gobi 65 is cauliflower instead of chicken, but you wouldn’t be able to tell on first glance. It ended up being one of the better cauliflower dishes we’ve ever had, and both dishes tasted great the next day once we reheated them.

The Samosa Chaat ($11.99) was rich and deep, and it seemed here like elevated street food. There were notes of fruity tamarind chutney, yogurt, spices galore, topped with a savory chickpea curry.

I wanted to try a special, but I was getting full fast. I opted for the brilliant Harmony Tacos ($13.99). Each of the three tacos started with a house-made creamy chicken, yogurt, masala, and paprika spice blend. It was topped with coleslaw and pickled onions, and a layer of spicy garlic glaze.

We also ordered the classic Lamb Tikka Masala ($22.99), but very mild. The Chicken 65 and Chaat were still lingering, so to find the Tikka Masala to be one of the most yogurt-forward, smooth sauces was a welcome relief. The lamb was tender, and the whole dish was well seasoned and great.
As I mentioned, they’ve only been open two weeks, so patience is needed. The food took a while, which we normally don’t mind, but the table beside us was waiting almost an hour for each dish. I ordered the Chicken Portolla Roll, waited 45 minutes, only to be told the last one they made was just given to an Uber Eats driver ahead of me.

Still, the food was memorably fantastic. We were the people of non-Indian heritage there as well. That told me the food hits close to home, and it is of the utmost quality. Combine that with the tasteful decor, and this should be a staple of Coral Springs.
