The J.P Taravella girls lacrosse team started their season off with a commanding 13-2 win over West Broward High School Tuesday night.
Vicky Mann had an incredible performance as she scored five goals. Celina Saunders and Remy Simpson each had a hat-trick, while Crystal Boudreau and Hailey Zaichick both scored their first goals of the season in the dominating win.
For Head Coach Megan Letizia, she was so excited to get back on the field and pick up their first victory of the season.
“I am excited to have the girls back and to try to have a sense of normalcy during this pandemic,” Letizia said. “We have a small team, but a strong team, but they are ready to play and have great attitudes for a successful season.”
JPT lacrosse will next be in action on Tuesday, Feb 23, when the Trojans face Coral Glades at 4 p.m.
