Community leaders and residents will gather next month to recognize local heroes whose service and dedication have made a lasting impact across Coral Springs and Coconut Creek.
The Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber’s 2026 Heroes Among Us Awards will honor first responders, public servants, and community members whose actions exemplify bravery, commitment, and selfless service.
Recipients of the First Responder Excellence Award include Coral Springs Police Officer William Baron and Coconut Creek Detective Cheri Stabile, recognized for their professionalism and dedication to public safety.
The Life-Saving Award will be presented to Coral Springs Police Officers Xavier Reinoso and Jessica Murphy, along with Coconut Creek Police Officer Ethan Rodriguez, for actions that directly saved lives in the community.
Coral Springs resident Ed Zito will receive the Military & Veterans Service Award, recognizing his ongoing service and advocacy on behalf of veterans.
The Public Works/Utilities Hero Award will honor Brandon Pinkney and Ernest Edmond of Coconut Creek, as well as Glen Gordon of Coral Springs, for their behind-the-scenes work that helps keep essential city services running safely and efficiently.
All award recipients will be recognized during the Honoring Our Heroes Among Us Breakfast on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026, at 7:30 a.m. at the Coral Springs Museum of Art.
The event is open to the public, and community members are encouraged to attend and celebrate the honorees. Advance registration is requested. RSVPs can be made online here.
