A man was found dead on a levee along the Sawgrass Expressway near Coral Springs Tuesday, authorities said.
Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office crime scene and homicide units responded to investigate after Coral Springs Police notified BSO about the man, who was found on the levee near a body of water around 4:30 p.m. Authorities did not provide an exact location for the incident.
According to BSO investigators, first responders from the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department attempted CPR on the man, who appeared to have died due to an apparent suicide.
The circumstances surrounding his death are under investigation. According to BSO, no foul play is suspected at this time.
Additional information about the incident was not immediately made public Wednesday.
