State inspection records reveal that a Pollo Tropical in Coral Springs was inspected following a complaint and cited for seven violations.
The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation report shows that Pollo Tropical, located at 800 North University Drive, recently underwent an inspection that found evidence of roach activity, including in the kitchen area and a dry storage room.
The inspection also revealed a sanitization issue: A sanitizer was testing at 0 parts per million, indicating that little or no sanitizer was being used. During the inspection, the operator addressed the issue by remaking the solution to the required strength of 100 parts per million.
No immediate closure was ordered, but the violations require corrective action and a follow-up inspection to ensure compliance with health standards.
