The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill has officially opened its doors.
The new restaurant, which specializes in Greek and Mediterranean-style food, invited the community to a ribbon-cutting celebration on September 1, hosted by the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce. They offered samples of the restaurant’s food, including grilled chicken, hummus, and rice pudding. People sampled the food and enjoyed a social opportunity.
“I am excited to open a restaurant in Coral Springs. We offer a family atmosphere at our restaurant, and I want everyone to feel they are welcome here and that we care about them,” said Mohammed Saif, a partner.
Katie Applefield, Director of Marketing for Great Greek, said the restaurant is a franchise and the first in Coral Springs of about 20 in Florida.
The restaurant offers chicken and lamb gyros, Greek salad wraps, the souvlaki plate, and other Mediterranean dishes. “We have a great lamb steak,” said Saif.
Leandro Figuereo, Chair of the Chamber of Commerce, said, “We are excited that this business chose Coral Springs.”
The Great Greek is located at 2764 North University Drive, Coral Springs. Business hours are Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
