The popular Coral Springs restaurant, Nick’s New Haven Style Pizzeria & Bar, appears to have shut its doors, even listing its equipment and furnishings for sale.
The restaurant located at the Royal University Shopping Plaza known for its specialty white clam pie is now closed to the public.
Now, just over seven years later, a post on Facebook reads “Asset Sale” and includes the operating lease and all assets of the 5,200 square foot restaurant. It lists the pizzeria with authentic hand-built brick ovens and a 2,000 square foot covered patio for $275,000 or best offer.
Coral Springs Talk attempted to contact management multiple times unsuccessfully.
Colleen, an employee at the Boca Raton location, was aware that the Coral Springs store had temporarily closed and referenced “staffing issues” and an “inability to provide the quality of service their patrons are accustomed to” but had no further information.
Comments have flooded Facebook, wondering why the New Haven Style pizza restaurant is no longer open.
Tracie wrote, “Our server was complaining of lack of help and patrons getting upset with service.” Crystal wrote, “There was a sign on the door about a vacation — I couldn’t read it too clearly, but it looked closed.”
Others mentioned long waits and lousy service, and a decline in the food quality over recent months.
In 2014, owners Nick Laudano and Anthony Giovanniello opened the Coral Springs location of Nick’s New Haven Style Pizzeria & Bar after first bringing the concept to Boca Raton in 2011.
