
Parkridge Christian Academy Boys Basketball Team. {Parkridge Athletics}
Parkridge Christian Academy is competing in its first year of varsity sports and has already found success through the first month of the winter season.
The boys basketball team is 3–3, earning its first win on Nov. 11 with a 74–36 victory over Donna Klein Jewish Academy. The Panthers have since defeated Coconut Creek High School by two points and earned another win by 28.
Josh Clark currently leads the team with 11.5 points per game and is averaging 7.3 rebounds. Raman Brayan III is second in scoring with 11.7 points per game. The rest of the roster includes Christian Boyer, Cameron Burbridge, Makel Moraes, Kellan Nguyen, Kastani Whittington, David Dasilva, Matias Brayan, Levon Akopian, Elijah Jimenez, and Braxton Ferjuste.
The girls’ basketball team is winless through its first five games, falling to Donna Klein Jewish Academy, Coconut Creek, David Posnack Jewish Day School, Monarch, and Calvary Christian Academy.
Their roster features Paisley Williamson, Bella Marshall, Jade Nowalk, Summer Saunders, Jai’da Jones, Chance Reed, Kassidy Manuel, Gianna Augustin, Valentina Garcia, Daisy DiIulio, Makayla Vega, Magnolia Williamson, and Harlow Franciosa.
The boys’ soccer team earned its first varsity win with a 6–4 victory over Sagemont Prep, highlighted by a hat trick from Max Guzman. Nicholas Henao added two goals, and Robbie Reynolds scored one. Silas Greenfield led the team with two assists, while Kauan Dasilva, Sam Kulac, and Guzman each contributed an assist.
The roster also includes Gabriel Ramirez, Diego Paula, Finn Nicholson, Peter Hamm, Matheus Fernandes, Ezra Wood, Mathis Andre, Amir Dufresne, Ethan Bernardes, Moises Rojas, Apollo Brandao, and Nicholas Henao.
The Panthers later fell 8–0 to Abundant Life Christian Academy before earning a win by forfeit against Somerset Prep. Next, they will play Sports Leadership & Management on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 4 p.m. The Cobras come in at 3–5.
The girls’ soccer team is off to a strong 2–0–1 start, opening the season with a dominant 9–0 win over Horeb Christian High School. After winning their second match by forfeit, the Panthers played to a 2–2 draw against Donna Klein Jewish Academy on Monday.
Sarah Vargas leads the team with five goals, while Mila Jurgens has scored three. Molly Alvarez and Aniyah Augustin have each added one goal, and Jordan Roll has recorded an assist. The roster also features Jade Noel, Lily Wood, Chloe Andre, Jazmine Rivera, Nevaeh Mitchell, Kaylyn Basel, Eden Pecan, Jai’da Jones, Magnolia Williamson, and Mica Miccichelli.
