The Humane Society of Broward County has some wonderful pets to choose from this week. All adoptions include spaying or neutering, vaccinations, a microchip, treatment for flea and ticks, and much more.
Marla
Adorable Marla (ID 632528) is approximately 50 pounds, four years old, and looking for a forever home.
This is her second time at the Humane Society of Broward County, but only because her former owners had problems, not because of anything she did.
Marla’s hoping that she will be adopted by a caring family this time, and it will be for life. She is an extremely sweet girl that can be a little shy at first. Once she warms, she is gentle and eager to please. She would benefit from dog obedience classes to learn basic commands, bond with her new owner, and gain confidence.
The kind folks at J.R. Dunn Jewelers have sponsored her adoption fee, so now she is just waiting for the right home. Does she sound like she might be the deserving doggy you have been looking for?
Hershey and Twix
Bonded rabbit brothers Hershey (ID 648080) and Twix (ID 648082) are looking for a home where they can stay together.
The duo was found in a wet box that said “Free.” Fortunately, a good Samaritan found them and brought them to the shelter.
The adorable pair can often be seen snuggling and grooming each other. They are neutered and ready to be pampered by a rabbit loving family —could it be you? You can adopt two bunnies and pay one adoption fee, this way, they can stay together.
To meet a pet at the Humane Society of Broward County, please fill out a pre-adoption application online at www.humanebroward.com (unless you have in the past). Once completed, visit the shelter located at 2070 Griffin Road, a block west of I-95. The shelter opens daily at 11 a.m. and if you have any questions, call 954-989-3977 ext. 6
If you would like to adopt these pets, call the Broward County Humane Society at 954-989-3977 ext. 6. Adoptions are $300 for puppies five months and younger, $150 for dogs six months and older, $100 for kittens five months and younger, and $40 for cats six months and older (Adopt one, get one free).
Located at 2070 Griffin Rd, in Fort Lauderdale.
