Police Identify Man Fatally Shot in Coral Springs

The man fatally shot in Coral Springs Monday has been identified as 34-year-old Donovan Patch Stephens, police said.
Stephens was shot at the Club Lake Pointe Apartments at 225 Lakeview Drive shortly before 9:40 a.m.
According to Coral Springs Police, officers arrived at 9:41 a.m. and found Stephens lying wounded on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. Police and Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department first-responders treated him at the scene, where he died.
A gun was recovered at the scene, police said.
No arrests had been made in the killing as of Tuesday afternoon, police said. The investigation was ongoing.
On Monday, police said they were speaking with someone who was at the shooting scene. The person provided a voluntary statement and is cooperating with the investigation, police said Tuesday.
