
A.J. Prendergast, Brianna Godfrey and Mason Phillips. {CSC Athletics}

Seniors A.J. Prendergast, Brianna Godfrey, and Mason Phillips all received awards at the Coral Springs Charter senior breakfast event on May 31.
Prendergast and Godfrey received the 2022 Panther Award for a senior athlete that best exemplifies honor, dedication, citizenship, and work ethic to the team and the entire Coral Springs Charter community.
A.J. Prendergast
Prendergast had one of the most incredible pitching careers in school history. In his three years on the varsity baseball team, Prendergast finished 12-3 with an ERA of 1.21. That included three no-hitters, including one against Coral Springs High School, where he struck out 20, finishing his career with 177 punchouts. He is set to play college baseball at Flagler University for the 2022-23 season.
Brianna Godfrey
Godfrey spent seven seasons on the varsity softball team and won four State Championships. On the mound, she won 60 games and had an ERA of .69. In 367 innings, Godfrey struck out 637 hitters. Offensively, she hit .350 with seven home runs and 86 RBIs. Godfrey had 43-extra base hits and will play Division I softball at Marshall University next year.
Mason Phillips
Mason Phillips received the 2022 Pete Liberatos Memorial Award, named after the late Pete Liberatos, who loved athletics because of the life lessons taught, discipline learned, and leadership developed. Phillips played four years of high school football, setting the school record for 1,131 receiving yards, and two years of varsity baseball. He also ranked tenth in Florida and second in Broward County.
