The Renaissance Charter at Coral Springs girls’ basketball team dominated the season and claimed the District Championship.
After going 10-0 in the regular season, they beat Lyons Creek Middle School 49-20 to win the title. The team features Izabelle Alvarado, Jayline Bella Mathieu, Gianna Tremblay, Sophia Fletcher, Danica Marcelus, Remas Dabdoub, Dieula Anestal, Briella Sosa, and Maya Encarnacion. Alvarado, Bella Mathieu, and Tremblay all averaged over 15 points per game under the coach Jennifer Navarro, who has been with these girls since sixth grade.
Principal Lynette Self extended heartfelt thanks to the parents for their unwavering love and support throughout the season.
“Congratulations to these champions for finishing strong and making their school proud,” Self said.
