In the competition to reward and showcase intellectual student talent, School Duel does just that, and on Thursday, Coral Glades High School will be competing against Pompano Beach High School.
The Coral Glades team consists of Darwin, Ethan, and Sabrina, and fans can watch it on May 6 on YouTube or BECON-TV at 8:pm. It will also be rebroadcasted at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
This is the last game of the 2021 season. Due to COVID-19, School Duel did not have a tournament this year after the Coral Glades vs. Pompano Beach game airs on Thursday; they will re-air the entire season, in order, beginning May 13.
The 2021 season featured 14 Broward County Public Schools teams, including McArthur High School, Everglades High School, Sheridan Technical High School, Cooper City High School, Miramar High School, West Broward High School, Cypress Bay High School, Western High School, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Monarch High School, Boyd Anderson High School, McFatter High School, Coral Glades High School, and Pompano Beach High School.
The winning teams’ players will each receive Chick-Fil-A vouchers for an entire year. The runner-up teams will receive prizes from sponsors, including cash awards for each student, courtesy of BrightStar Credit Union and Publix Supermarkets.
All participants receive School Duel trophies from EDCO Awards & Specialties.
