The new CEO of the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce is ready to hit the ground running to bring her lifetime of community service experience and personal passion to the role of a lifetime.
For Charinus Davis, stepping into the role of President and CEO of the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce isn’t just a career move—it’s the culmination of nearly three decades of nonprofit leadership, a deep passion for business advocacy, and a belief in the power of community.
Davis, who has served as the Chamber’s Executive Vice President and officially took over from former CEO Cindy Brief, who retired on January 14, is no stranger to the needs of local businesses. She’s spent years building and nurturing connections, developing programs that drive economic success, and championing initiatives that make a tangible impact.
But her road to this leadership role didn’t happen overnight. It began with a lifelong passion for collaboration and service that spanned three decades.
“I have always been passionate about driving economic growth and supporting businesses, and this role is the perfect opportunity to do both,” Davis tells Coral Springs Talk. “The Chamber has a strong reputation for fostering connections, advocating for businesses, and elevating our region as a hub for economic success. Now, I have the privilege of taking that mission even further.”
With three decades of experience in nonprofit leadership, Davis has learned that success isn’t just about numbers—it’s about people and community.
Whether it was her time at the Dan Marino Foundation, where she helped develop programs that had a lasting impact, or leading the Davie-Cooper City Chamber, where she saw firsthand the importance of business advocacy, every step of her career has prepared her for this moment.
“One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is the power of collaboration,” she says. “When businesses, nonprofits, and government entities work together, the results are transformative. I’ve seen it firsthand, and that’s what excites me most about this role—the opportunity to bring people together to create meaningful change.”
As she settles into her new position, Davis is already thinking big. She wants to expand the Chamber’s advocacy efforts, ensuring local businesses have a strong voice at the city, state, and regional levels. She also envisions new initiatives that will support small businesses, create more networking opportunities, and foster entrepreneurship in meaningful ways.
“The support from our members, board, and business community has been incredible,” she says. “This transition has been seamless, largely thanks to the strong leadership and legacy left by Cindy Brief. I’ve felt a warm welcome from business owners and community leaders eager to collaborate.”
But beyond business, Davis sees Coral Springs and Coconut Creek for what they indeed are—vibrant, community-driven cities where people don’t just work; they thrive.
“These aren’t just great places to do business—they’re incredible places to live,” she says. “There’s such a strong sense of community here. Everything about these cities, from the local economy to the parks, schools, and cultural experiences, makes them special. What truly sets them apart is the people—the entrepreneurs, the leaders, the residents committed to growth and progress.”
For Davis, this isn’t just about leading an organization—it’s about making a difference.
As she enters this next chapter at the Chamber, Davis is ready to listen, innovate, and uplift the businesses and people who make Coral Springs and Coconut Creek extraordinary.
