The Barnes & Noble at 2790 N. University Drive will host a midnight release party for Sunrise on the Reaping, the new novel in the worldwide bestselling The Hunger Games series by author Suzanne Collins.
The book will be released on March 18, 2025. The Barnes & Noble launch party will begin at 10 p.m. on March 17.
According to organizers, the first 50 people to pre-purchase the book before that date will be guaranteed a spot at the release party. They said that entry for those who buy the book later is not guaranteed.
The attendees’ purchase receipts will serve as their entry tickets to the party.
“Space is extremely limited,” the store said in an Instagram post this week.
All paid attendees will receive a wristband, and the first 50 buyers will receive a themed event kit.
The party will feature trivia and other activities related to The Hunger Games series.
Those who have pre-paid for the book should call the store at 954-688-5654 or visit the store in person to add their name to the party list.

The book, a prequel, will revisit the dystopian land of Panem 24 years before the events of The Hunger Games, starting on the morning of the reaping of the Fiftieth Hunger Games.
A feature film adaptation of Sunrise on the Reaping is scheduled for release by Lionsgate in November 2026.
