{St Andrew Carnival}
By Ryan Yousefi
The St. Andrew Family Carnival is set to make its 2024 debut.
Scheduled from January 25 to 28, event promoters have promised that this year’s carnival will be the largest 4-day event the city has ever seen.
Held at the St. Andrew Catholic Church at 9950 Northwest 31st Street, the carnival is known for its thrilling rides, engaging games, and many notoriously indulgent carnival foods.
This year, the carnival will also feature a $3,000 raffle, including a first-place prize of $1,500.
Pre-sale wristbands are available for purchase at $30 for a single day and $75 for a four-day pass, offering unlimited access to carnival rides. These special prices are valid through January 24, and wristbands can be purchased at the school, church office, or after masses.
The Saint Andrew Carnival serves as the largest fundraiser for the parish. This year, the church invites local businesses and community members to participate in sponsorship opportunities, with all sponsorship funds directly contributing to the carnival’s success.
The Carnival Committee is currently seeking parent volunteers. Interested participants can contact event organizers at sacarnivalinfo@gmail.com or (954) 224-0428.
All volunteers must be Virtus trained and fingerprinted.
