After falling in their first game of the season, the Coral Glades girls soccer team earned their first victory with a 12-0 win over Stranahan High School on Wednesday.
The Jaguars had two girls record hat tricks in Kylee Boyd and Teya Stapleton. They also recorded assists while Alissa Defelice scored twice, along with goals from Mina Kendall, Sivar Benton, Triniti Ferguson, Victoia Fuentes, and Gina Bido.
“I’m glad that the team came back and did the job,” said Head Coach Richard Denny. “Now we have a back-to-back next week that we are gearing up to.”
Coral Glades is coming off a solid season last year where they won seven games before falling to Marjory Stoneman Douglas in the District Final. They will have another chance to play the Eagles this year, but first will be taking on Western High School in their next game on Tuesday, November 16, at 6 p.m.
