The Coral Springs Commission Highlights A-Rated Schools, Invites Residents to Budget Events

As a city, one of our strategic priorities is supporting educational excellence because strong schools help build a stronger community. While education is led by our dedicated school districts, we are proud to be an active partner through programs, partnerships, and investments that help students succeed both inside and outside the classroom. That commitment continues to pay off.

As the new school year approaches, we are proud to celebrate the continued excellence of our local schools. Recent Florida Department of Education rankings show that nearly all public and charter schools serving Coral Springs earned an 'A' rating for the 2025–2026 school year. Congratulations to our students, educators, school staff, and families on this outstanding achievement. We wish everyone a successful, safe, and inspiring 2026–2027 school year!

Transparency and community engagement are priorities in Coral Springs. This month, we invite residents to learn more about the city's budget process, strategic initiatives, and future planning through several opportunities to connect with city staff, ask questions, and stay informed.

Residents can start the conversation at Budget & Brews, taking place on Friday, August 14, and Monday, August 17, throughout Coral Springs. Meet with experts from our Budget & Strategy Department, ask questions, and learn more about how your tax dollars support city services. For those who prefer to participate from home or the office, the city will host a Virtual Budget Academy on Wednesday, August 19, from 12 to 1 p.m. This free one-hour online session offers an overview of the city's budget process and provides residents with another opportunity to ask questions directly to city staff. Registration is available at CoralSprings.gov/budgetacademy.

Residents are also encouraged to attend the Vision to Motion Town Hall on Tuesday, August 18, at 6 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at City Hall (9500 W. Sample Road). This community forum will provide updates on the city's progress and highlight accomplishments driven by resident feedback on topics including parks, events, education, economic development, and more. The City Commission also invites residents and business owners to attend a Public Forum on the Property Tax Amendment on Tuesday, August 25, at 6 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at City Hall. This informational forum will provide an overview of the proposed 2026 Property Tax Amendment, explain how municipal services are funded, discuss the potential impact on the city, and outline what it could mean for Coral Springs residents and businesses. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet the dedicated professionals behind the essential services that help make Coral Springs a premier community.
