Stop by the Coral Springs Farmers’ Market on Sunday where there will be shopping, live music and a brand new family activity that literally rocks.
In a new movement hitting cities across the nation spreading happiness and smiles through a small act of kindness, the Coral Springs Farmers’ Market features a family activity called “Coral Springs Rocks”.
The idea is simple: come paint rocks, then hide them for others to find at parks and public places. If you find a rock, you may keep it – or re-hide for someone else to find. Re-hiding or hiding your own rocks is encouraged to keep the community spirit of the project going.
Live Music
Listen to jazz and blues musician Jason Hanley. Hanley, who has lived in Lake Worth, Florida for the past 12 years, was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina where he began playing guitar at the age of 15. His style is rooted in jazz and blues, and his sound ranges from funk to outright rage. His compositions move live audiences to laugh, cry, and get mad when getting mad matters. Then there’s his dreamy, mellifluous side that just lets you relax into an easy groove.
Featured Vendor: Nisha’s Flavors of India
Nisha’s product line is straightforward, ranging from $6-8 per item. Bestsellers include samosas, available in chicken, potato and garbanzo bean, and spinach and feta; frozen prepared foods like chicken tikka masala, chili chicken curry and vindaloo; and stuffed parathas in spinach, pumpkin or potato/lentil. Fresh cilantro and peanut chutney and a creamy yogurt, cream cheese and mint combination are sold as dips. There are also mango chutney, apple and green chili chutney and a jalapeño version; eggplant bharta, channa masala, and a vegan dal masala. Many of her products are vegetarian and some are vegan.
Nisha’s has a cult following at all her South Florida Markets. Debbie is the friendly face you see every Sunday selling for Nisha’s Flavors of India at the Coral Springs Farmers’ Market.
