The Vegan Cosmetics Store wants to give thanks to the frontline healthcare workers at Broward Health Coral Springs.
On Friday, the Coral Springs store will be giving healthcare workers a gift pack, which includes Lavender Soothing Gift Packs containing bath and body products they hope will relieve stress and promote relaxation.
After hearing the challenges healthcare workers are facing to save lives, The Vegan Cosmetics Store launched a campaign to show their appreciation and partnered with local businesses and individuals to launch their Thank-A-Healthcare-Worker Campaign.
Inspired by the sister of owner Karlene Facey, who works as part of the ER medical personnel in New York, she needed products to help her relax and rest. Because of this, Facey said she feels passionate about the Thank-A-Healthcare-Worker campaign.
“She wanted some products to help her relax and rest after her 12-hour shifts in the Emergency Room and the Lavender Soothing Gift Pack was created to bring her that boost of self-care much needed during these stressful times,” she said.
Opening in October of 2019, the store is located behind Jamba Juice in The Walk on University and sells 100 percent vegan and cruelty-free cosmetic brands.
The current goal of the Thank-A-Healthcare-Worker Campaign is to send 2,500 thank you gift packs to healthcare workers in the U.S. and they are asking for donations in any amount. To make a donation to their Thank-A-Healthcare-Worker campaign, visit their GoFundMe campaign.
To take all the safety precautions during the Covid-19 outbreak, the store has closed its doors but is still taking and fulfilling orders on its website VEGOGLAM where the Lavender Soothing Gift Packs are also available for sale, and make great get-well gifts, birthday presents and Mother’s Day gifts.
They are currently offering free shipping for orders of $45 or more.
