The Coral Springs City Hall lawn will become an Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, Oct. 3, with German food, live polka music, contests, and activities for children.
The free event runs from 4 to 10 p.m. at 9500 W. Sample Road, according to the city’s event page. Free parking will be available in the City Hall garage.
The Brussel Sprouts German Polka Band will provide music, and the festivities will include a keg-tapping ceremony. Visitors can find Bavarian fare, treats, food and dessert trucks, and a beer garden serving Bavarian beers and German wines. Beer garden guests must be 21 or older.
A Wiener Dog Dash race is among the planned contests, along with a costume contest, stein musical chairs and stein holding. The stein contests are limited to adults 21 and older. You can register online for the Wiener Dog Dash.
The city also plans a children’s carnival area, local vendors, a photo booth and sales of limited-edition merchandise.
