The official date is set for a popular Coral Springs store leaving the city.

In mid-February, Coral Springs Talk first reported that Wild Fork Foods, located at 2874 North University Drive in The Walk, would be closing its doors sometime in early April.

Now, a sign hanging outside the store confirms the official date the store will close its doors for good – April 3.

At the time Coral Springs Talk reported the permanent closure of the popular frozen-fresh grocery store, the reasoning reportedly given by both the location’s staff to customers paired with Walk management explained to our outlet — that a combination of the store’s lease expiring in 2023 and the chain’s desire to update their new store sizes to be smaller than the current Coral Springs location had led to a decision to close.

The Walk told Coral Springs Talk in February that rising insurance premiums and property taxes made it unable to accommodate the downsizing of the store.

The good news for Coral Springs residents distraught over the closing of one of the area’s most unique grocery stores is that they won’t need to travel very far to score once again its signature items, such as frozen ox tails and whole ducks. The Sunrise location is at 8053 West Oakland Park Blvd, just minutes away.
