Shoppers at Coral Square Mall need to use caution after a woman was confronted at gun-point while sitting in her car in the parking lot on September 6.
The 57 year old was getting ready to leave the parking lot when two black females approached her on foot. One of the suspects had a handgun and pointed it at the woman and told her to get out of her car.
The woman exited her car and was not injured. The suspects then drove off in an unknown direction.
The vehicle is described as a 1999 white Honda Civic bearing Florida license plate BEIE28. The vehicle has scrapes on the left front bumper.
The suspects are described as a black female in her early 20’s with shoulder length hair that was tied in the back and another black female in her early 20’s with her hair pulled back in a bun.
Anyone with information is urged to call Detective David Young with the Crimes Against Persons Unit at 954-346-1219 or the Coral Springs Police Department at 954-344-1800.

why did it take them a week to tell us? typical coral springs trying to keep the bad stuff out of the paper.
Donna, with all due respect to the city. I happened to find this hidden on the city website. I was shocked that I did not receive anything from the Coral Springs Police Department the day it happened. Warnings and releases are not as thorough and quick as BSO – my experience.
What day did this happen?
Maria, I added the exact date on the article. Sorry about that. It happened on September 6.
did it specify where she was parked? I know some parts of the mall parking lot that are not as busy as others… Coral Springs inot what it once was…
