Residents aren’t the only ones who are experiencing food insecurity from the economic shutdown due to Covid-19 — pets have their needs as well.
During this time, the Coral Springs Humane Unit wants to help the community by holding a pet food drive on Thursday, May 7, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
During this event, they are collecting new and unopened dog, and cat food and residents who are interested in are asked to leave all donations in their trunk so that contact can be minimized.
Residents who need pet food may call the call center at 954-344-1001.
The event will be held at the Coral Springs Gymnasium at 2501 Coral Springs Drive.
