The J.P. Taravella Drama Department is off to a quick start, kicking the season off with the light and funny musical Xanadu.
Based on the movie of the same name, It’s about a girl who comes to Venice Beach, California, in the 1980s to inspire a young artist who wants to open a Roller Disco.
Along the way, she falls in love with the mortal “Sonny” and must deal with some jealous sisters and Zeus’s consequences. The play is directed by Lori Sessions and stars:

Danny: Andrew Emerson
Calliope: Jocelyn Gomez
Melopene: Ava Chen
Thalia: Benjamin Vela
Terpsicore: Bailey Fier
Erato: Cam Davis
Euterpe: Danica Andrews
Shows are on Wed, Thurs, Friday on October 6, 7, and 8 at 7 p.m. Due to social distancing, tickets are only available online at www.seatyourself.biz/jpt. Adults are $12, and Students are $8.
