Coral Springs commission members are set to award a $1.5 million contract for a major roadway restoration and resurfacing project in the Kensington Glen and Beachwood Heights subdivisions.
The project cost would also cover work on Westview Drive between Coral Ridge Drive and University Drive, as well as Remsberg Drive, according to city records.
City staff recommended the job be awarded to Weekley Asphalt Paving, Inc. of Pembroke Pines for a total of $1,535,603.50 following a competitive bidding process, documents show.
The proposed contract also authorizes the city’s purchasing manager to approve change orders within the designated procurement authority, up to $75,000.
The project is being funded through Broward County’s Transportation Surtax (or MAP Broward), a 30-year plan approved by Broward Count voters in November 2018.
It was not immediately clear when the resurfacing project would begin.
