The Ramblewood Middle School Lady Raiders were crowned Queens of the North after completing an undefeated regular season and capturing the North Region Championship of Broward County in girls soccer.
With that, they secured their first-ever appearance in the District Championships. The team was led by co-captains Essence Ehrlich, the team’s leading scorer, and goaltender Sariyah Clayton. Sixth-grade standout Lyris Rivera shone on offense, while Tatiana Fernandez, another sixth-grader, anchored the defense. The midfield dominance came courtesy of 8th-grader Delayna Robertson and 7th-grader Miyah Green.
The Lady Raiders dominated, scoring 16 goals and conceding none before they eventually made it to the Championship game and lost 2-0.
“I couldn’t be prouder,” Head Coach Paul Paradis said. “This team worked tirelessly to play smart, fast-paced, and fearless soccer that lit up scoreboards all season long.”
