Richard Goodman, 46, of Coral Springs was found deceased in the canal behind his residence at 4482 NW 113th Terrace.
According to Sgt. Carla Kmiotek, at approximately 6:15 pm this evening, his father saw him in the canal. Officers and his father pulled him from the canal he was pronounced dead on the scene.
Goodman’s last post on Facebook was, “Immediately he spoke to them and said, Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid. Then he climbed into the boat with them, and the wind died down. They were completely amazed (Mark 6:51).”
The cause of death is unknown at this time and will be reviewed by the medical examiner.
