An exclusive author event is coming to Coral Springs on Feb. 16, offering community members a chance to explore Jewish perspectives on mental health, resilience, and inner strength.
Chabad of Coral Springs, 3925 N. University Dr., will host author and Chasidic scholar Levi Shmotkin for an 8 p.m. presentation centered on his book “Letters for Life,” which examines the teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe and their relevance to emotional well-being in modern times.
Organizers describe the event with Shmotkin as an evening of reflection and practical insight drawn from the Rebbe’s correspondence. In “Letters for Life,” Shmotkin highlights guidance offered by the Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson, on confronting anxiety, building resilience, and cultivating inner strength through Jewish faith and thought.
The book compiles and analyzes letters written by the Rebbe to people facing personal struggles, offering a window into how Jewish spiritual wisdom addressed emotional challenges long before mental health became a mainstream communal conversation.
Organizers say the event is geared toward anyone interested in exploring how Jewish wisdom can inform mental health, personal growth, and emotional resilience.
The event will include a lecture by Shmotkin, followed by a question-and-answer session and a book signing. The suggested donation to attend is $15 per person or $25 per couple, organizers said.
Community members of all backgrounds are invited to attend.
