Hope Suther has officially announced her commitment to swim at Nova Southeastern University, marking the start of her collegiate athletic career.
Suther, who was homeschooled and lives in Coral Springs, said it is an incredible feeling and the beginning of a new chapter after all the hard work it took to get here.
“It feels amazing to officially know where I will be continuing my academic and athletic career, and I am so grateful to be a part of Nova,” Suther said.
Suther began swimming at age 9 and significantly improved after deciding to join TS Aquatics. In choosing a college program, she prioritized team culture and wanted to be surrounded by focused and driven swimmers. She also cited the team’s success, coaching staff, and the opportunity to grow both in and out of the pool as key reasons why Nova Southeastern was the right fit.
Suther recently competed at the Jesse Vassallo Swimming Invitational, where she delivered strong performances, placing third in the 100 and 200 breaststroke and the 100 backstroke. She also placed second in the 50-, 100-, and 200-meter freestyle events.
"This moment didn't come easy," Head Coach Andre Bailey said. "Hope has truly worked, earned, and grinded every step of the way. It's been a pleasure watching you grow in this sport, and your dedication, resilience, and commitment have led you to this well-deserved achievement."
