Coral Springs Approves $149,691 Basketball Court Upgrade at Jaycee Park

Basketball players who want to practice their shooting techniques and compete will soon have an updated court.
At the September 2 meeting, the commission awarded a $149,691 contract to Custom Pickleball Courts, doing business as Court Kingdom Sports Construction of Hollywood, to build a new basketball court for Jaycee Park.
The city will remove the existing concrete basketball court and replace it with asphalt, which is easier to maintain, according to Paula Rubiano, spokesperson for Coral Springs.
This new full-size court will maintain the same dimensions as the existing court. It will also feature an acrylic sports coating, complete with regulation basketball lines, according to Sayona Khandwalla, spokesperson for Coral Springs.
"The goal of this project is to provide our residents and visitors with a modern, safe, and durable basketball facility while enhancing recreational opportunities within the community," said Khandwalla.
Jaycee Park is located at 4800 Riverside Drive.
