Delgado Leads Coral Springs Charter Marching Band Into New Season

Leah Delgado is passionate about music and loves leading the Coral Springs Charter marching band.

She plays the mellophone and French horn and earned a superior rating in a state solo ensemble last year. Delgado is now the band’s drum major and is looking forward to upcoming competitions and performances.

“I really love being in the band and leading the performances. I have been a member of the Charter band since I was in the seventh grade, and have had many positive experiences while making friends over the years,” said Delgado.

A junior, she has a 4.9 grade point average and said music is her favorite subject.

For most Charter band members, practicing and performing music is enjoyable, but so are the friendships.

“I love the people in the band, and I enjoy practicing with the people in the band,” she said.

The Charter band performs during all home games both in the stands and during halftime.
