When my wife said she wanted to go to Gary Rack’s Farmhouse Kitchen, I wasn’t interested. I looked at the menu and thought it was mid at best, with high prices and too many vegetables.
On top of that, I haven’t been happy with the City of Coral Springs, changing what we’ve been discussing for over a decade about what our “Downtown” in Coral Springs was supposed to be.
Folks who live out here know what I’m talking about.
I finally said I would go.

Ambiance
When I pulled up between the two large apartment buildings, it felt like I was transported to a big city. This one block is odd in a great way. Since the buildings are close together, the street looks like something you would see in NYC. I can’t think of any other street in Broward County that comes close to this vibe.
Shops line both sides of the road, and it’s bustling with activity.

The restaurant has outdoor seating and an open-air bar. Cool murals line the walls, and there are plenty of tables/booths inside.
We sat on the outside portion of the bar with our backs facing University Drive.
The staff was friendly/professional and I enjoyed chatting with them.
Food
We ordered from the Happy Hour menu, valid daily from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Half off drinks and discounted food. Man, I love this.
To cut this review short… the service, drinks, food, and vibe were outstanding. We had the meatball on happy hour; it’s HUGE, plus the fries, ribs, and wings. They were all delicious!

To the City Of Coral Springs… I like what I saw today. This area could be huge with the vendors in this building. I’m going to reserve any anti-comments about our downtown. I need to see more. What I saw tonight was outstanding!
I have to say, I judged this place and area wrong. I’m glad we went, and we will be back for sure.
I highly recommend you hit Gary’s and then explore the businesses around it.
